Home Bristol Ceilidh Quartet

Bristol Ceilidh Quartet

“One of the most energetic and percussive ceilidh bands playing anywhere right now- their gigs are unmissable.” – Ed Barrow, Bristol Ceilidh

“Gorgeous sound and arrangements, great pace for dancing … now one of our favourite ceilidh bands!” – Penny Allen (Meltdown Ceilidhs)

The Bristol Ceilidh Quartet is a Bristol ceilidh band bringing together three English folk fiddlers and a fabulous cellist to make a big string sound with loads of energy and drive.  They take great tunes and create exciting arrangements exploring the dynamic range of the string quartet.  Every tune is calculated to get feet tapping and people on the dance floor.

This year we are very lucky to have Hannah Moore to call the dances.  She was awarded a fellowship to train in folk dance at the National Centre for Folk Arts under the tutelage of dance expert Kerry Fletcher and specialises in ceilidh and Playford dances. She likes to make dances lively and accessible for all!
