Corncrow

Steve Hunt and Kim Guy quickly identified each other as potential musical allies during a chance encounter in one of Cornwall’s numerous informal pub sessions, a few years back. Since then, they have performed at festivals throughout England, contributed tracks to several well-regarded compilations and recorded their mini-album CD, Sweet Nightingale. Their music is informed both by Cornwall’s enduring musical traditions and it’s prevailing folknik spirit, so expect to hear elements of Celtic, Old-Time and English folk, with guitars, bouzouki and harmonising voices. “Lovingly crafted songs… earthy yet ethereal, dreamy but direct, full of solitude yet offering much solace.” Leigh Folk Festival “I reckon they’re going to go places, because I really like their stuff!” Mike Harding. BBC Radio 2.
