Home Nuala Honan

Nuala Honan

28-year-old guitarist/singer/songwriter and Bristol based Nuala Honan, is a soulful woman with a nack for writing compelling and relevant songs. She calls her style country, but if we were in America, she’d probably call it folk. So lets just say it lies somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean safe from folk and country purists!

Originally from rural Australia, Nuala moved to England aged 19- following her family’s musical heritage and an adventurous music scene. Since then she has consistently claimed due attention from audiences with her charming stage presence in the UK and Internationally.
Nuala is currently in The Woodshed studios in Bristol, recording her first solo album due to be released in May 2013, and she will be showcasing music from this album with a band at Priddy Folk Festival this year.

“beautiful, soaring vocals which can induce even the hardiest audience member with goosebumps.” – The Post, Bristol

“this woman has bags of stage presence and a voice that can do anything from soft and tender balladry to spine-tingling soul.” – Rina Vergano, Venue Magazine

“Beautifully written songs, beautifully sung in a voice free from pretension. Nuala is a fresh breeze of talent and raw integrity in the musty, tired world of singer-songwriters.” – Dizraeli

“Bringing a fresh and captivating intimacy with the warming breath of a bubbling country heart and some traditional fireside honesty.” – Pete Hogg, Wandering Word
