Priddy lies on top of Mendip above Cheddar Gorge and Wells, about 15 miles equidistant from Bristol and Bath.
Priddy has a Wikipedia entry full of useful information.
The general area is served by buses and trains - unfortunately, like many rural villages, very little actually comes to Priddy.
There is a large parking field on the edge of the village. A charge per car is collected at the field entrance.
Campers can park next to their tents 5 minutes walk from the festival. Artistes and Traders have dedicated parking adjacent to the festival site.
Disabled parking spaces are available on the perimeter of the site, please ask a steward for directions when you arrive in Priddy.
The post code to use in a Satnav is BA5 3BB
There are lots of ways into Priddy, most people follow the A39 and take the small turning just south of the Green Ore traffic lights - then just 3 miles of good, wide road straight to the heart of the village.
The nearest petrol station is in Priddy at N&P Auto Repairs. Alternatively try Wells and Cheddar if you are headed South and in Farrington Gurney (A39) if you are headed towards Bath or Bristol.
If you are driving to the festival or looking for a lift, why not register at www.liftshare.com or www.freewheelers.com and make a friend before you even get to the festival! Sharing transport, and costs, will help the environment and reduce the number of cars on site.
Bath Spa or Bristol Temple Meads - both are roughly the same distance, about 15 miles away, with good bus links to Wells.
Castle Cary - about 20 miles with bus links to Wells via Shepton Mallett.
Taxi from station: - it is about £30.00 to £35.00 by taxi to Priddy from these stations.
Local Bus - we have one bus a week - on Tuesdays, so of little practical use when travelling to the Festival.
Wells and Cheddar - we are about 5 miles from Wells (which has good links) and 6 miles from Cheddar but you will then need to get a taxi to Priddy at about £8.00 to £10.00.
We have a mobile shop that visits the campsite - details will be available on the site.
Priddy has three shops -
Wells has a couple of supermarkets, high street shops plus an excellent Saturday market.
Cheddar has a 2 small supermarkets.
Cash-back is available at the pubs subject to a minimum spend and small fee. If you are buying a round of beers in the pub then this is a good option as you will find the fee is less than the petrol needed to drive down to Wells!
Wells has plenty of cash points including Tescos and all the usual banks. There are also cash points in Cheddar.
Useful website detailing attractions and events in the area.
Priddy Village - Priddy's own village website.
Wells in Somerset - Really good list of attractions and events based on Wells; it's only 5 miles from Priddy, so it's very relevant! The site is an initiative by The Black Dog of Wells ceramics studio workshop; it's got a lot in it and more is being added all the time!
