Priddy Folk Festival is well known for its food and drink!
Bar prices remain the same for the fourth year running. Only £3 per pint.
The festival bar is stocked with the very best local ales and ciders and slick organisation means short queues. It stocks 9 real ales from Cheddar Ales, Milk Street and Blindman. Cider comes from Brothers and Wilkins. It is quite a challenge deciding which to order.
And if this weren’t enough, the two local pubs will be also serving ales, most of them from completely different breweries!
Food for 2018
Fish and Bubbles
New for this year – Fish and Bubbles takes pride in only using locally sourced seasonal produce. The core of the business revolves around the sale of ‘Meal Deal’ style options that includes a portion of fish, shellfish or other seafood option with salad and rustic chips or wedges. They serve the food as easily consumable ‘finger food’ and incorporate a unique serving platter that enables the customer to enjoy their food on the move or whilst free-standing at the event.
They also include a breakfast and dessert option within our offerings. Breakfast is a simple ‘continental’ style serving of quality fresh baked pastries’, healthy juices, smoothies and quality coffee or full English and breakfast baps!
The dessert options are: Traditional cream tea’s and homemade cakes served with clotted cream.
Teabag Chihuahua Ltd
Teabag Chihuahua Ltd. caters healthy, freshly prepared, Mexican burritos, nachos, quesadillas, tacos and chillies. Additionally, they offer dishes inspired by Native American, southern barbecue and latin influences. Mexican Food is their passion and at Teabag Chihuahua they dedicate themselves to making tasty, uncomplicated and wholesome dishes that you can enjoy anywhere you desire in the UK.
Teabag Chihuahua Ltd. is a family-operated business offering the finest in mobile and outside catering. The feedback and repeat business goes from strength to strength built on years of experience in TexMex restaurants in the USA beginning in 1983. Now in our 17th season in the UK, we specialize in weddings, themed parties, family occasions, corporate fun days, office celebrations, music festivals, and outdoor events.
Panemania specialise in traditional thin crust Italian style pizza, freshly prepared and baked to order in their wood fired pizza oven. They are experienced festival caterers and throughout the summer you will find them at many outdoor events around the UK. They make our own dough, sauce and toppings fresh on site each day using organic, homegrown and quality ingredients. Each of their 11’’ pizzas are hand rolled and topped, then baked in our oven, often in less than a minute. Kevin and Vicky love what they do and enjoy sharing our passion and enthusiasm for baking, good food and excellent ingredients with our customers.
Styles Ice Cream
At Styles Farm we specialise in making luxury dairy ice cream with only the best natural ingredients. All their ice cream is made on the farm with fresh locally sourced Jersey cow’s milk, fresh West Country cream, and no artificial colours or ingredients. These are some of the flavours you can choose: Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate, Stem Ginger, Blackberry and Double Cream, Real Strawberry, Banana, English Toffee and Butterscotch, Clotted Cream, Honey Comb, Mangoes and Cream.
We are pleased to welcome Juicy Orange from Bat to our festival. They will be serving coffees and teas along with toasties, bacon rolls and other snacks. You will find them in the Traders Field.
There will also be an opportunity to buy ice cream in the Traders Field from Oliver.
Simon & Sonia are from Bristol. They began the Creperie in 2006 in a small market stall and have steadily grown from an ugly duckling into the beautiful Lush Creperie that we are now. A lot of hard work and a fairly priced menu has earned us great feedback from customers and event organisers alike, and over the years we have gone from strength to strength, Winning the ‘Peoples Choice Award’ at Womad 2014.
Crêpes are a truly native, traditional French street food. A simple concept, almost as old as the streets themselves, made with simple ingredients milk, eggs and flour. These thin, crispy pancakes are the tastiest among the french street fares. They cook their crepes to order (rather than reheat them from a pile cooked earlier), and they make them thin (nothing worse than a gummy, undercooked crêpe!). They are made from white wheat, flour milled from soft English varieties and our gallettes are made from buckwheat flour, stone-ground, naturally gluten and wheat free. You can then choose from a wonderful array of fillings.
