Who’s playing where and when?

Here’s a brief outline of how the 2017 Priddy Folk Festival shapes up.

Once again we have two main marquees – Swildons and Eastwater – plus events in the Village Hall and Priddy Church, the Market Square and of course The Fringe Tent.

In Swildons, headliners are Medicine Creek (Friday), Flook (Saturday) and Jamie Smith’s Mabon closing on Sunday. Other acts to look out for in Swildons are Fake Thackray and Tom McConville (Friday), Jim Causley, Topette!!, Faustus and The Shee (Saturday) and Talisk (Sunday).

In Eastwater it’s a packed opening night with Adam Holmes, Talisk and Ushti Baba on the bill. Saturday night is also incredibly strong with Firepit Collective, Mawkin and Gadarene among those set to perform.

The Village Hall is the venue for a number of special events, starting with, on Friday evening, the eclectic Solano – catch them if you can – and on Saturday night, a ceilidh featuring Lasair followed by some late night mayhem courtesy of Mr Tea and The Minions.

Look out for events as well in the church where you can hear Hannah Cummings and Jon Dyer (Saturday) Matt Norman’s Folk Choir and also there’s a special festival service (Sunday).

Also don’t forget there will be plenty of dance around the site, including a whole weekend of performances and workshops by the National Youth Folk Troupe of England and regular morris and rapper on the Market Square stage, near to the Fringe Tent.

Children’s events during the day on both Saturday and Sunday will be in the Goatchurch tent. See map below.

And if you want to catch the archaeological walk, that’s on Saturday afternoon.
