Lively local community choir the Priddy Singers has been working hard over recent weeks to put together a video to mark the weekend of the Priddy Folk Festival 2020. From rehearsals over zoom to small, socially distanced groups singing out on Priddy Green, we have been busy preparing our selfie videos, even roping in our children, extended families and friends across the country to celebrate everything Priddy Folk Festival has given us over the years.
The choir is led by Katrine Reimers. “Funding from the festival helped us to get off the ground when we started meeting back in 2015 and has continued to support us along the way as we have grown to a popular group of 50 men and women. We last met in person in mid-March, the week before lockdown and the disappointment of having to cancel our participation in the mid-Somerset Festival.”
But still going strong through our confinements, we were determined not to miss out on marking everyone’s favourite weekend in July! The video will be premiered at 2pm on Sunday 12th July, the time when we usually all file into Swildon’s tent to enjoy the last gig of the festival.
