About Priddy

Priddy is a small village on top of the Mendip Hills above Cheddar Gorge and the city of Wells.

Our Festival logo shows the Priddy sheep hurdles, a stack of wooden sheep hurdles which were used to make the pens for the annual sheep fair. The hurdles are no longer used, but they are still a landmark on Priddy Green. The stack was destroyed by fire in April 2013 and rebuilt by volunteers from the parish in July 2013.

The hurdles are a great spot to arrange to meet during the Priddy Folk Festival!
