Between the Acts are the best ceilidh band in the world, or if not in the world, then certainly in the small hamlet below Standish Woods where they live and rehearse. They have been playing together for over forty years but still make mistakes with some of the Irish reels they love so much. They have presented work which combines spoken word and music, including a play about the Irish Famine and an introduction to the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. You can hear them in a BBCtv adaptation of Cider with Rosie. They have recently played for Jeremy Deller as part of the preparation for his project, The Triumph of Art.
