Chameleon

Chameleon is Jan Newton and James Slater. Having first met at the Nova Scotia club in Bristol, they got together to try out a few unaccompanied traditional songs.  Having tried that with some success, and realising that they were well-matched in performing styles and singing voices, they worked out some more material and started performing as a duo. They called themselves Chameleon because they play in different genres – British traditional, American country, a bit of jazz, and classic pop. Their main aim is to have fun!
