The n-Tet (pronounced ‘entet’) is a four-piece traditional bluegrass band. Formed initially to fill a last-minute gap in the program that had appeared at a festival (where all four members were in attendance with other bands). So much fun was had, on and in front of the stage, the band quickly became a going concern.
In March 2012 the original architect of the bluegrass banjo style, Earl Scruggs died. This led to the members of the band getting together to record their debut CD: Farewell Blues (Remembering Earl Scruggs). This album was officially launched at this year’s prestigious Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow.
