Artists who were due to play at Priddy have told us how much they will be missing playing our festival this year. Some have sent us special recorded messages and tunes. We thought it would be a great idea to put this together into a video to share with you, but when we looked at our skills in the team, it looked like our experience with betamax tapes was not going to cut it!
So we did what you always do when you can’t change the programmer on the central heating, we looked for a young person! Luckily Millie Houlton volunteered:
I’ve grown up in Priddy and the folk festival weekend has always been a huge occasion for my family and our friends. We normally have relatives visit from around all parts of the country. Our house and garden will be bursting with friendly festival excitement. Cancelling the festival was such a massive disappointment to the committee, locals, traders, visitors and artists.
So much work had already gone into this event that a virtual festival seemed like a safe and resilient alternative and I was glad I could help. I’ve collated lots of clips and videos from some of the artists on this years line up with the help of David, Brian, Ann and Dean. These I have then pulled together into a short film with the addition of some photos of prior years festivities.
So sit back, relax and enjoy a snippet of what would have been Priddy Folk Festival 2020.

You will be able to find the video on our Facebook Page or our YouTube channel from Saturday 11th July. In the meantime, here is a taster (also produced by Millie) to whet your appetite!
