COVID-19 Update

We want you to share our thinking about the 2020 Priddy Folk Festival. Our dates, 10, 11 & 12 July, are currently beyond the estimated dates for the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK. However, nobody knows for sure how the situation will develop. The UK government has put the whole country into lockdown as of now and will review the decision in three weeks’ time, just after Easter. You can expect to hear from us again at that time.

Meanwhile our thinking is that if we can go ahead safely we will do so and we think we should be in a position to make a clear decision by mid-May at the latest. The programme for 2020 is outstanding and Priddy rightly ranks high in the estimation of folk enthusiasts. However, the safety and health of all our artists, audiences, traders and volunteers is paramount. We will do nothing to jeopardise it.

As a charity we feel we have an obligation to put on the festival if we can, both for the enrichment of our audience, and for the livelihood of our performers (and other local traders who rely upon the event). We are a small festival and that means we are exceptionally able to rearrange things at short notice; we have back-up plans and a team working on them.

Our position is unchanged at the moment. If Priddy Folk Festival 2020 can go ahead safely it will.
