This page provides information about travelling to the Priddy Folk Festival and useful notes about local facilities.
How to find us:
Priddy is around 19 miles from both Bristol and Bath, set on top of the Mendip Hills. The postcode to use for SatNav is BA5 3BB.
Please be aware that both phone and wifi signals can be poor in the Mendip area: it is best to download offline maps before you travel.
We have had major roadworks in the area but thankfully, roads into the village are now all fully open. You may still experience some delays at the Miners Arms crossroads (junction between B3134 and B3135), which is traffic light controlled while the junction is significantly realigned.
Please follow us on Facebook or Instagram (Priddy Folk Festival) for any last-minute updates. You can also use One Network at https://one.network/ which will be updated frequently.
Other information for drivers
Please follow the guidance above and the road signs for festival parking. If you need petrol, there are petrol stations in Wells, Cheddar and Farrington Gurney.
Parking
There is a large parking field on the edge of the village (Wells Road, Priddy). Parking is only £3 per car for the whole day and is free if you have tickets. Payment is collected at the field entrance by card or cash.
- Campers can park near to their tents, a five-minute walk from the Festival.
- Artists and Traders have dedicated parking adjacent to the festival site.
- Disabled parking spaces are available on the perimeter of the site, please ask a steward for directions when you arrive in Priddy.
Ride-sharing
If you are driving to the Festival or looking for a lift, why not register at www.liftshare.com or www.freewheelers.com? Sharing transport and costs will help the environment and reduce the number of cars on site.
Public transport
The general area is served by buses and trains – unfortunately, like many rural communities, none of these actually come to Priddy.
By train
Both Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads are both under 20 miles away, with good bus links to Wells via their respective bus stations. Castle Cary is about 17 miles away with bus links to Wells via Shepton Mallett.
By bus
We no longer have any bus services in the village. We are about 5 miles from Wells (which has good bus links) but you will then need to get a taxi to Priddy.
